Who is Aitana?

Aitana Ocaña Morales (Barcelona, 1999), known artistically simply as Aitana, is a singer and songwriter who rose to fame after taking part in the 2017 season of the television talent show “Operación Triunfo.” Since then she has become one of the most popular pop voices in Spain among young audiences.

Her ease at blending ballads and danceable pop, combined with a carefully curated social media image, helped her build a very loyal fan base from her earliest solo steps.

Career

After the show, Aitana released her first album, “Spoiler” (2018), which confirmed her commercial pull in Spain. In the following years she expanded her profile toward the Latin American market, collaborating with artists from various Spanish-speaking countries and adapting her sound to urban pop influences.

Later albums such as “11 Razones” (2020) and “Alpha” (2023) showed an evolution toward more mature sounds and a greater presence on international charts, establishing her as one of the Spanish artists with the most reach beyond Spain in current pop music.

Notable discography

Among her most popular songs are “Vas a quedarte,” “Los ángeles” with Sebastián Yatra, and “Formentera,” with Marc Seguí. Her repertoire combines emotional ballads with urban pop tracks aimed at the Latin market.

Legacy

Aitana has received several music industry awards in Spain and Latin America and is a regular presence at major festivals and on Spanish-language charts. She represents a generation of TV-born artists who have managed to build solid, lasting careers beyond the format that first made them known.
