Chanel

Who is Chanel?
Chanel Terrero Sánchez (Havana, 1991), known artistically as Chanel, is a Cuban-Spanish singer, dancer, and actress who trained in dance and performing arts from childhood after moving to Spain with her family. That choreographic foundation has always been one of the most defining traits of her artistic career.
Before reaching mass popularity she took part in musicals and stage productions, in addition to a notable run on a well-known music talent show, which allowed her to polish both her vocal technique and her stage presence.
Career
Chanel became known to the wider public after being selected to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “SloMo,” an urban pop offering with a highly elaborate choreography that stood out for its level of production. Her performance was one of the most talked-about of the contest and earned Spain one of its best results in recent years.
The impact of that performance went beyond the contest itself and made her one of the most recognizable Spanish artists of the moment, with “SloMo” achieving great popularity both in Spain and in various international markets.
Notable discography
Besides “SloMo,” she has released other urban pop and dance singles that continue the choreography-driven, polished production style that defines her, establishing a distinctive approach within Spanish pop more oriented toward stage spectacle.
Legacy
Chanel is a recent example of how a Eurovision performance can catapult an artist to international popularity, and her work has helped elevate the choreographic and stage dimension within contemporary Spanish pop.
