Miguel Bosé

Who is Miguel Bosé?
Miguel Bosé (Panama, April 3, 1956) is a singer, songwriter, and actor, son of the famous bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín and Italian actress Lucia Bosé. Raised between Spain and Italy, and surrounded from childhood by figures from the world of art and entertainment, he built an artistic career that has naturally combined music, film, and television over more than four decades.
His ability to reinvent his image and sound at every stage made him one of the most versatile artists in Spanish-language pop, with a career carried out simultaneously in several languages and markets.
Career
He made his musical debut in the 1970s, but it was during the 1980s that he reached his greatest international profile, with an androgynous, sophisticated image that set him apart from the rest of the Spanish pop scene of the time. In that decade he established himself as a star in Spain, Italy, and much of Latin America.
In the 1990s he continued exploring more electronic and experimental sounds, without abandoning his more pop-oriented side, and maintained a constant presence on Latin American charts. At the same time he built a career as a film and television actor, both in Spain and Italy.
Notable discography
Among his most remembered songs are “Amante bandido,” “Bandido,” “Si tú no vuelves” (a duet with Sherryl Lynn), and “Nena.” Albums such as “Bandido” (1984) marked a commercial high point of his career in the 1980s.
Legacy
Miguel Bosé is considered one of the most singular figures in Spanish-language pop, both for the quality and variety of his musical output and for his role as a groundbreaking image for his era. His influence extends beyond music, into the realm of public image and the stagecraft of Hispanic pop in the 80s and 90s.
