Who is Quevedo?

Pedro Luis Domínguez Quevedo (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1999), known artistically as Quevedo, is a Canary Islands singer and rapper who went, in a very short time, from being a local urban music prospect to becoming one of the most listened-to Spanish voices worldwide. His style combines trap and reggaeton with a highly personal melodic delivery.

Before reaching international fame he had already made a name for himself on the Spanish-language urban scene thanks to collaborations and singles that circulated widely on digital platforms.

Career

His big breakthrough came with “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52” (2022), his collaboration with Argentine producer Bizarrap, which became a worldwide viral phenomenon and, for a time, ranked as the most-streamed Spanish-language song on the world’s leading streaming platform. That track catapulted Quevedo to a popularity that went well beyond the world of Spanish-language urban music.

From that point on, he strung together collaborations with leading artists of the Latin urban genre and released his first album, cementing his position among the new generations of Spanish-language trap and reggaeton, with a recognizable style marked by catchy melodies and introspective lyrics.

Notable discography

Besides the session with Bizarrap, notable songs include “Quédate” and his album “Donde quiero estar” (2023), which confirmed his ability to stay on the charts beyond the viral phenomenon that made him widely known.

Legacy

Quevedo represents a new generation of Spanish urban artists capable of competing on equal footing with the great Latin American figures of the genre, and his global success has opened doors for other Canary Islands and Spanish artists within the international urban scene.
