Kiko Rivera
Who is Kiko Rivera?
Francisco José Rivera Pantoja, known artistically as Kiko Rivera, was born on 9 February 1984. He is the son of singer Isabel Pantoja and bullfighter Francisco Rivera “Paquirri”, who died after being gored in the ring in 1984, when Kiko was a baby.
Musical career
Kiko Rivera began his musical career as a DJ, performing in nightclubs and at events across Spain, before establishing himself within the Spanish electronic music scene as a producer and DJ.
In 2017 he made the leap to singer with the single “El Mambo”, a summer hit that marked a turning point in his career and proved he could make a name for himself beyond his family’s fame. Among his best-known songs as a singer are also “Así soy yo” and “Quítate el top”. He has collaborated with artists such as Omar Montes and Andy y Lucas, expanding his presence within the Spanish urban music scene.
A career split between music and the media
Kiko Rivera’s career has developed alongside a strong media presence, largely tied to his public relationship with his mother, Isabel Pantoja. Even so, his work as a DJ and producer, and his more recent forays as a songwriter with a more personal voice, sustain a musical career of his own within contemporary Spanish electronic and urban music.
